When I moved to Atlanta, I had a general plan of what my life would look like.  I knew I was supposed to be here to act and be in the entertainment industry.  I was told it was going to be hard and so I figured nothing would happen for at least 6 months.  Instead I would get a place to live, get a job to pay the bills and settle into a routine.  Instead, God said that was a bad idea.  I was upset with the fact nothing seemed to be going MY way.  We had been here a week and every apartment we toured told us “nothing was available at this time”.  We were moving every week into a new Airbnb and I was watching the money drain away.  I was upset and I told God.  He told me to keep trusting Him.

After a week of being here, I got an email.  They wanted me to play a background character in a movie.  I was ecstatic!  I immediately called my mom even though it was 1am in the morning to tell her the news.  A few days later I was going in for a fitting.  The day we filmed was still one of the best experiences in my life.  But God wasn’t done yet. He was working it out so that I could work on this movie several more days. I unfortunately can’t tell you guys anything else but I know it will come out some time next year.  I’ll be in a few scenes in the background!  So now I’ve come to realize that I have to wait and watch God supply what I need. Sometimes I barely even have the thought and He already gives it to me.  All I can say is that who am I that I am so highly favored?  God likes to bless us and He keeps all of His promises.

  1. I am overjoyed to hear this report, Jewel. God is the one who provides for all of our needs, above and beyond what we can ask or think. I continue to pray for encouragement and blessing upon your life. Bless your heart, you are on a true adventure! <3

  2. Jewel, how exciting! God will try our patience and He always comes through. It is a great gift that you are waiting for Him to guide you and not doing things to appease your doubts as you wait on Him. Be in the moment, stay tuned to God.

  3. Wow, how great! Of course you were chosen. Who can resist such a beautiful girl. We’re so proud. Continue to trust in God’s plan.
